Colouring with Spectrum Noirs- Purples

Hello everyone... the weekend is almost upon us, and I am hoping Mr Blogger plays nice and posts this for me whilst I am at work...
 I had been asked to choose and image and a pack of the Spectrums in the 6's to show colouring from that set..
I went for the Purples.. and the cute rubber stamp "Humphrey".
 I also choose the purple papers from the Humphrey's corner double cd..the border is from the Die'sire range Lace border 6 and this is what I came up with....

now, i know you are thinking... "she has used grey!".. but i couldn't do a purple elephant could I , but I have used the purple pen set for the rest... 

Now, If you have been a follower of me for a while... you wil know I use my Spectrums lots, and I am on the DT for Spectrum Noir...

Lili's little fairies- Anything but a square

Good morning (part 2) lol!
 Now, you can't have had time to miss me..? 
here is my next card for Lili's Little Fairies Challenge this week , we would like to see you creations in "Anything but a square"
so, guess what i went for.. yep, a circle card!

I have re-discovered this stamp ( rummaging for something else.... ) have I mentioned how much I love LOTV boy stamps.. they are a joy to colur.. and such fun!!! 

this chappie is coloured with my Spectrums. the papers are Prima "Romantique". I have cut my scallops with Go kreate  dies , and the circles with my trusty circle cutter...

 I have distressed the papers with sand paper and a little DI ink.. 

 I wrapped a little button twine , from the Ribbon Girls, around the image and attached a bow to the top attaching the sentiment tag from LOTV . That's it really... hope you like it....

Little Miss Muffet Challenge- new releases

Hello and happy Thursday! 
Today see some new releases over at Little Miss Muffett Stamps- there are some adorable new Hatters for you to enjoy..:-)
Here is my inspiration using Gertrude Lena Hatter, isn't she fab???!

the papers are from Pink Petticoat, called Old Fashioned Girl.. I love the text, the sketch is from Deconstructed sketches. she is coloured with my Spectrum pens and fussy cut out. The flower is from  my fav MFT Flower Trio Die, I have added a yellow pearl to finish. I have doodled the lines and stitching with a fine line pen.

Passion for Promarkers- Needles & Pins

Hello and good morning! 
 its fab having a Bank holiday, but I always lose that day thro the week, like I thought today was Monday, then I realised, yikes!! its PfP challenge today, and its my choice of theme.
So, I went with the theme " Needles & Pins", so anything with stitching real or faux ,and a pin really....
 I have been dying to share this card, as I have chosen one of the new Tiddly Inks images  "fluttering by to say hi!"

  I love this image soooo much! and the papers are so lush.I love them too , they are digi papers from Cosmo Cricket, "Odds and Ends" , but I fear they are no longer downloadable..:-(
I have added loads of stitching, and a pin. the button twine is from the ribbon Girls. the flowers are die cut from my all time fav die MFT flower trio.

 I have struggled a bit with the background, as my trusty blender has gone dry on me... I added a little sparkle from my stardust gel pen... the pearls are from stash.

the crazy challenge- anything goes

Hello my lovelies.... how was your weekend... isn't it fab to have that extra day...
 I am hoping to get ahead on my crafting.. this evening I will be typing up my blog posts for this week.. then cracking on with some samples.. I am currently cooking our evening meal , so just a quick post to share this card.... 
 I must confess , it was intended for the Crafter's Companion monthly challenge.. but I had no pc, as our had died.. then hubby decided to change internet providers ..arggghh ! that only means you disappear off the face of the earth for a few days... so, it didn't get posted...

so, here it is... 

I have used Humphrey's corner stamp "friends forever", colured with Spectrum Noirs . the papers are from the Moreheads cd , I think...love the button paper.. :-)

My Time to Craft- Christmas in August

Hello my lovelies...its the weekend!!! and a bank holiday weekend at that.. you know what that means..? yep ! rain! lol!
anyway, a little something out of season today... I really need to crack on with the Christmas cards.. I did quite well last year, so hopefully I can do the same  again... 
well. I digress.. here is my card using the Mulberry Wood stamps. I love these..

the image is called Christmas Wishes , coloured with my Spectrums... the papers are from the Mulberry Wood cd, and I have simply made the papers grey by using the Colouriser. the die is a Memory Box die, I think it looks quite striking in black, and I have cut it out 4 times to create a frame round the image. I have used mainly IG1-8 and DG3 and LG1-2 and DR4 and CR3 for the cardinals.. Then I went for a red button to pick up on them. the sentiment is from the stamp set. 

 I picked out the snow with a white pen, and added a little glitter.

emerald fairies challenge- punches & dies

Hello my lovelies, back again... 
today I wanted to share with you a little Spectrum Noir colouring.
I don't know if you have heard about the launch of the Spectrum Noir Accreditation programme? you can read more here...
its really exciting..
there is always lots of helpful tips and inspiration on there, but now you can develop those colouring skills, and become accredited... 


 

so, here is a card from me, coloured with the Spectrums... using the new die'sire dies. this one is called "magic mirror".. I have gently inked the edges with distress inks... and the papers are from the Moreheads cd I think.. this little sweetheart is a Moreheads rubber stamp called "Raindrops". of, course she is coloured with my Spectrums

I just added a little lace.. secured with a staple  and added a button and some button twine. just a simple card really....

Lili's Little Fairies- Spots or Stripes

Helllooooo! Back again.. but still running late...
This time I have a card for LLF dt.. today the theme is "Spots or Stripes"... 
now, considering the time factor , I must confess I have cheated a little and used one of those fabulous pre-coloured squares... brilliant for when you are in a hurry.this one is from the Romantic Times  selection...

the papers are all oddments from Echo Park "yours truly" & MME Lost & Found "blush".... I do have this image in rubber , and I used the sentiment that comes with it.... 
 this is just a quick close up of the die cut squares....

Lili's Little Fairies - oh so girlie

hello my lovelies.. how the devil are you???
Its a busy old Thursday , and I'm back to share with you my LLF Dt card... 
The theme this week is "Oh So Girlie"...
I had to use one of my newest purchases.. love these two...
choosing which LOTV stamp was the hardest.. the girlie bit was easy!

the papers are by nitwits.. thimbles and threads. the image is called "Coffee break" , coloured with my Spectrum noirs , the flowers are from WOC, the sentiment is also LOTV.

I really adore all the detail on this stamp... even the handbags.. fabulous....

here's one I coloured....

she is called "Happy bee day" , she is coloured with my spectrums .the papers are MME lost & found sunshine. the flowers are from WOC, I have liberally applied loads of Stickles for a little sparkle. I have added loads of stitching this time, havent done that in ages...

Mulberry Wood sneak peek.

Hello my sweet crafty friends... do not adjust your pc... I am posting twice in one day!!!! i did try to get this posted yesterday but i ran out of time.. and I was well over tired!
so, just a quick post to share a sneaky peek at the new stamps for the  Mulbery Wood range being launched tonight. 
Heres my card..

 Aren't these guys the cutest? 
The papers all come from the Mulberry Wood CD... and if you caught the show last time , tonight will see a further set of cute images in rubber!!! Don't forget to tune in at 9.

the racoons are coloured with my Spectrum Noir pens, having first stamped the image in Memento Rich Cocoa Ink. I stuck to a close colour palette to soften the look. then i added holly & snowflakes punched in kraft card, added glitter glass and a few gems.
really easy!

Passion for Promarkers - shaped card

Good morning folks! how was your weekend???? 
I had a fab day out on Sunday. hubby and I went to Whitby and we took a vintage tour. first we traveled from Whitby in a 50's sharbanc and then took a steam train from Pickering , a Harry Potter one no less :-). we got of at Goathland, the place where they filmed the popular tv series Heartbeat. We had a picnic, then were collect by the old bus again to go back to Whitby. we drove to Robin Hood's Bay, and had a stroll, and sat and ate fish & chips. the weather was glorious, just a perfect day. sigh ..... 
so, back to the madness of work yesterday, and then last minute card making... arghhh! 
so, since its Tuesday, that means time for a new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers
anyway, finally , here it is.....
the theme was chosen by the lovely Kim  , which is "Shaped Cards"

So, this week we are sponsored by the fabulous Digi Stamp Boutique, and I have chosen an image from the Funtime Dan collection. the papers are MME dilly dally the ticket was a freebie, but I cant remember who by, I think it was TLC. 

 I colored Dan in, cut him out and 3d'd him onto the circle, which was also 3d'd.The note paper was punched with my Rollabind, (thanks Mum), and i distressed the papers a little. thats it really...

Lili's Little Fairies - Monochrome

Hiya!!!! I'm Baack! 
Did ya miss me? LOL!
Like I said, its a busy old start to the day.. I am back with you share this week Lili's little fairies next challenge. this week the theme is monochrome. this can be a tricky one, but I sure enjoyed the challenge.

Now this little sweetie is called "Rosie Posy", she is coloured with my spectrums using EB7,EB5,EB2,EB1,GB10,GB8,GB6.&GB1 then a touch of TN3,TN2,PP2,& FS4 for the face.

 the papers are ( again) my newly rediscovered papers from pink Petticoat called "Old Fashioned Girl".. you can get them for half price at the moment too.... and there are oodles of yummy designs.  they are all matted on kraft card. The doily is inked with Brushed Corduroy DI, the punch is MS, scrap of lace and button twine to tie it, from the ribbon girls. the sentiment is LOTV sentiment tags. thats it really.. simple.

She is coloured with my spectrum noir pens. The papers are pink petticoat "old Fashioned girl" rediscovered after my pc woes.. I lost quite  few things went the old pc died... so pleased to get these back.

Sugar Nellie fb challenge

Hello my lovelies...how was your day? 
I have been really frustrated with all my pc woes lately, and my mojo has taken a battering..... 
so, I have been dabbling with my favourite kind of images.. and a little Sugar goes a long way...
there is an inspirational image over at Sugar Nellies Facebook page.. and this card is my take on it...

 this little cutie is called "Fairy cakes", coloured with my spectrums. the papers are ancient.. lol! they are MME Fine & Dandy "tickled pink". the sketch is from the Sugarbowl. the sentiment is computer generated.

Fashionista challenge GDT - birthday or baby

Hello my lovelies... fab to see you.. at last i think i am over the hurdles of my internet pC woes... We now have a new pc.. and the change over to our new provider has settled down... with the help of a new more efficient modem/router. now ,I am not gonna pretend i know what I am talking about, but its works, and we don't keep losing connectivity...Hooooray!
I know have to get over the frustration of blogger, refusing to save my post as I am typing them up....  grrr! Blogger... :-(  ( Is anyone else experiencing this? )

Hello my lovelies.. how was your weekend? 
I am back in the land of the living, with new pc, router/modem, and a settled internet connection... what a relief.... I was getting sooo stressed with it all... I think my Mojo has still not recovered.....
Anyhooo... this card was a request from a friend from her teenage grandson.....

I had seen the image a while back and thought it was perfect! I love mo's images.... they are so useful... fitting the bill perfectly so many times....

The "denim" paper is from Raspberry road.."denim & diamonds", then I used MME papers  DillyDally....

The image is coloured with Spectrum Noirs - 

 the sentiment is computer generated , quite a simple card really... can't make a male card too fussy , can you?

Little Miss Muffet stamps- Hola Butterfly

Hello my lovelies...well what a week so far!!!no internet, then poor internet.. then no internet waaaaaah!!!!
its so frustrating... its takes time to settle down , i'm told... to me you are either plugged in or your not...???/
Anyhoo I digress... this is special post today, using this lovely image, from a series, in aid of a special charity... here's what Barbara said,"
My daughter was reading Monarch Magic! by Lynn Rosenblatt and in the back had some fundraiser ideas.  Instead of sitting out in 109 degree weather selling cupcakes and lemonade, I suggested we draw images.  Lucky for me she thought that was a great idea!   She has drawn and colored the five stages of the Monarch Butterfly then I added a festive butterfly to join in on the fun - it all comes in a package deal!  During the month of August, for each one sold, we will donate $2.00 to the Monarch Butterfly Fund!  Will you help in her endeavors?  My daughter has even made a card to send them once the fundraiser is complete.  :D "

I die cut my white card circle, and sponged witha hand drawn cloud template using Stampi up baja Blue ink.. then I matted it on a scalloped circle of green
card.

Passion for Promarkers- Underwater

Good morning to you....Today see the start of another challenge over at PFP , where the theme is "under water".... 
So I dug out one of my older stamps, which is an absolute stunning image for the pen of Jasmine Becket-Griffith, she is called "Pearl Swirl Mermaid"

coloured with my Promarkers, and using papers from Raspberry Road. I have added some muslin. jute and pearls...a button and Button twine from the ribbon girls.

now, i have to make this post brief, as i am battling with poor internet... so pop over to the blog, and check out the DT creations..
