Artistic inspirations- lots of layers

Hello my lovelies... how are we all??
 The hubby is away camping in Scotland with his son, so I am enjoying a mess free house.. and lots of crafting time..(yay!)
I have been asked to make a birthday card for someone who loves gnomes ( I know??? huh??) .. and there was a free digi over at Lacy Sunshine, for their challenge , and this is what I came up with...

The papers are Basic Grey  "Cupcake" the image is "Flowerbed Fred", coloured with my spectrums.. the pennant die is La-La Land, and the scallop die is MFT...

There is another free digi over at lacy Sunshine this week, all you need to do to participate is email Heather for it.. its a bit cheeky this one..lol!

Crafts for Eternity - Perfect Papers

Hellooooooo... its me again....
 I had to share this cutie with you , I just couldn't wait!!!!!
I recently bought this stamp from a very lovely lady.. and needed to clear my desk and make time to colour her up ! So glad I did....
I have used the lovely girly papers from Basic Grey called "Porcelain" .. and followed a sketch from MFT stamps Wednesday stamp club

 This lttle cutie is called "Give Peace a chance" , and she is coloured with my Spectrums.on her hair I used IG9, 7, 5 &3 , on her top CR6, PP2 & 1 LG2 &1 . on her trousers I used BG5,4,3,2 & 1, IG 4-1 on here shoes and hem ( with PP4 &2), the flower is TN5,GB4 and GB2. I have used IG3-1 for the background, and BG4-1 on the floor.

The flowers are from my Die-namics trio die, and the scallop is die-namics also.I have added unusual stitching with my sewing machine and used pearls and button twine from stash.

The Sugarbowl - Anything goes

Hello my lovelies... How are you all ??
 I have a card to share with you today.... It has hopefully winged its way today to a very dear lady , just to say thank you for helping me. So... I am hoping it ok to share it today.....

The papers are MMe Breeze, and the stamp is a Gorjuss stamp called "Flower Girl" . She is coloured with my Promarkers, and I was trying to achieve shades of peach.I have used TN5, TN4,TN3 and CR 1 & 2 .( and FS2 for the lightest)

The hair is TN1, GB8,10 and EB5 I have used OR1 a,d GB2 and EB3 and TN2 &3 for the tights , skin is TN3,2 and PP2 ,FS4.

The scrummy label stamp is Rescue Remedies from Waltzing mouse stamps...the punch is MS, I have added accents from my Spellbinders dies . I have used organza ribbon , with flowers and pearls from stash..

Lili's Little Fairies- Photo Inspiration

Hello all!!!
 Its Thursday, and I'm a busy gal!! so, that must also mean time for another challenge over at Lili's Little Fairies...
 The theme this week is an inspirational photo, and here's what I did....

 The stamp is called "Bumble Bee Fairy" ,she is coloured with my spectrums. Now, I don't use purples much, and couldn't make my mind up between the groups of HB and PL's... so I kinda did a mix of the the lot, till I got a shade I was happy with.. the darkest is PL 4, then 2 , and some HB3,2, and took the highlights out with HB1.. the grass is pretty much a mix of CG4-2, and DG 4 & 2, and LG2.

I have used my new Marianne's chinese rose die.. the smallest one- that's about as big as I wanted to go... 
The frame is a new Spellbinders decorative labels 22 die.
I have added a little muslin, and the papers area mix of Echo park for the dotty purple, and Raspberry road "Antebellum" papers.

Cards for Men -Anything goes

Hello my sweet friend... what a lovely spring day!! at last!!! 
I have a quick card to share, then washing to hang out, then a hair appointment... Boy do I need my colour touching up... 
so, a simple masculine card... for someone's get well wishes... featuring the lovely James the Bear.

The papers are MME Miss Caroline "dilly dally" ,which I have had for an absolute age, and the stamp is No:7 bear, coloured with my spectrums (GB1,2,8,10,EB5, DR7,6,4,CR7, BG1,3,Dg2,1.)
The sketch is from "Annabelle stamps" - that I "pinched" from the lovely Donna Wardle... ...

I have added a little mesh, distressed all the edges, and layered onto kraft card.
I hope the recipient likes it, and really does "Get well soon"

DTC Challenge - with high hopes Stamps- Sketch

Hello everyone.. I hope the sum is shining on your wherever you are today , its such a lovely day!!! 
 I have a quick card to share... this is my final card over at DTC.. and we are featuring those fabby images from High Hopes stamps... there is a sketch to follow too! Here is my take ....

The stamp is called "Ice cream for two", he is coloured with my Spectrums . the papersd are ( I think MME Bloom & grow) the sentiment is from stash.... 

Here is a close up , the clouds were created by me using, IG1 & 2 , and IB1 & 2 . I am really rubbish at getting equal sized squares in this kind of sketch, but I managed to make this look not too squiffy..lol!

Lili's Little Fairies - Seeing double...

Hello my crafty friend... lovely to see you.
 The weekend is upon us, and I will be dashing off to work shortly, but I quickly wanted to share this card...
I had itchy fingers to colour one of my newest stamps in..... Here's one from the latest release..
This fits rather nicely into the latest challenge at Lili's Little Fairies - which "Seeing Double"- which basically means two separate stamps , or two characters.

This cute pair  are called "Big Hug", coloured with my Spectrums. the papers are a new (ahem) purchase too from One Buck Wednesday from the stable of the  gorgeous Jodie Lee called "Faded vintage papers"..ooooh I luvs 'em 

 I have used ooodles of dies... "Stately Circles " "Curved borders one"...lots of deep lace , some seam binding, and a little filigree corner , painted white , and a small pearl on the tag sentiment ( which is also LOTV)
so, pop over to LLF and get entering.

Digital Delights Challenge- Colour My World

Hello my lovelies...happy Thursday! 
so glad that Spring has finally decided to put in an appearance...I love the sunshine we have been having .
Now, today over on the Spectrum Noir blog, I have a little tutorial on how to add focus background and ground your image... 
I have you this fabulous image ...from Digital delights called "Buttons" the clown.....

I have used some fabulous papers from Echo Park called "Walk in the Park ", I thought these were bright and cheery....the sentiment is TLC.
I have used a sketch that I saw on the lovely Fiona's blog.. and I LOVE it.. so you will be seeing it more!!
This is part of the new challenge over on Digital delights where the the theme is called "Colour my World" , and colourful it is!!!!

Lacy Sunshine challenge - Spring fever

Hello all! 
Tis a little bit grey this morning.. I am hoping for a little sunshine later... we haven't had enough yet...surely???
I have a lovely "Springy" card for you.. using a cute High Hopes stamps..Heidi & Mattie, and a fab sketch, that I "nicked"from the lovely Fiona.

The papers are Cosmo cricket "Time for tea", and the image is coloured with my Spectrums. I have used 3 die-namics dies on this one!! The pearls are from my stash.

 for the dog I used GB2,GB8& 10. EB2 & 1 for his face. TB2&1 for his collar. For the girl I used BG 5-1 for her dungerees, CT2 and 1 for her top ,PP4 & 5 for the heart and bow  TN1,GB2 & 8 for her hair ....

Here's her card, it was an excuse to create something pink and girly....

The papers are Nitwits "Always & Forever", and the image is butterfly Tilda, I think, coloured with my speccies.... I got this new fence die on FB and I love it .... you'll be seeing it lots.... 

The sentiment is from the PC, and the 3 is a "Fruit Smoothie" die cut.... I have added flowers and pearls from stash and used my butterfly punch...

Sugar Nellie Facebook Challenge - Favourite colour combo

Hello again my dears....I do love it when you stop by.... its late on a Saturday evening, and there's nothing on the tv, so I thought i'd write up y blog post..... 
 There is a challenge over on the Sugar Nellie facebook group, this week its your "fav colour combo" , and I thought I would go for something a little different.... Teal, lemon ,and grey.... 
here's my take...

Lili's Little Fairies- Clean and simple

Hi there my dear friend....
 Its Thursday again, which can only mean one thing... time for another challenge over at Lili's Little Fairies. This week we would like to see your "Clean & Simple " creations, and remember , you must use a LOTV image on your entry.... 
I fell in love with this little guy when I saw him online, and I had to have him... more so because we have a zoomy red Mini ourselves... and I LOVE driving it...

Happy Engagement!

Hello my dears... lovely to see you popping by again....
 I hope the weather is being kind wherever you are.....
 Well, my daughter had a lovely birthday this weekend for sure as her boyfriend proposed to her..... Its nice to see your daughter cry happy tears.....
so, I had to be quick with a card, whilst trying not to let her see it....
I had the perfect image and the perfect papers too!

 This image is called "Love Balloon", its coloured with my Spectrums...( for the heart i used DR7,6,4.the boys trousers,IG9,8,6,4,1, the girls dress BP7.PP6,5,4,2,hat EB2&1 &BG2leaves DG3,CG3.I think thats it... IG1 &IB1 for the backgound, and a touch of EB1...).the papers are Paris girl 1 paper pack, digi ones from Jessica Sprague.....another $1 bargain!!!!

I have used my Cheery Lynn flourish die and memory box precious heart die , some gorgeous pearl lace from a friend on FB, and the flowers were from her too.

I just added a sprinkling of gems, and the papers are all stitched.
I hope they like it....

Great Impressions challenge- Pastel colours &/ or Polka dots

Hello my lovelies, the start of another week, sigh... where does the weekend go?
To kick the week off I would like to share a cheery Spring card...We had a short taste of it over the weekend, (but it sure is chilly this evening as I write this)
 This image is Party paws from the Crafters Companion stable, you may have seen this cutie coloured up as a panda, but this just shows that you could colour him/her any colour you like.

He is coloured with my spectrums, using GB2,8,&10 with some EB3 for shadows, the papers are Echo Park Springtime, I love these fresh zingy colours , truly refreshing!

Hello everyone... I am back as promised with a special card to share with you today..... 
Today is my youngest daughters 20th birthday , and she asked for cupcakes on her card... so it had to be this adorable Sugar Nellie stamp called "Fairy Cakes "

 I have used digi papers from Jodie Lee called "Butterfly garden", from Jessica Sprague, and they were $1 !!!! yep, a bargain...
I have added lace and flowers from stash, I love that butterfly pin, its just divine....
I have distressed a little and stitched it all," Fairy cakes" is coloured with my spectrums... the sentiment is computer generated .

 I hope she likes her card, and that she has a lovely day.... I know she is going to be spoiled.

The papers are digital, "A year in Review" I think, from Raspberry Road.the little ships wheel is from the die-namics "Sea charms" dies set... I (heart) these dies , fastened with a little jute twine.

Lili's Little Fairies - All stitched up.

Hello you lot!!!!
Yes, i have been AWOL- I had a fab few days away then family staying for Easter, so no time for card making.....
 Anyhoooo. I missed last weeks challenge, so I am posting my card here for moral support, lol!
The theme is "All stitched up" , and this is my card..... 
I got these gorjussss "Butterfly Garden " papers by Jodie Lee, over on One buck Wednesday ,last week ( I bought them whilst travelling on the train , get me!!?lol) 

I have distressed and stitched , added white paint , and DI's , a doily and muslin, and flowers from my stash . The image is "On Tiptoe " coloured with my Spectrums... all the layers are matted onto Kraft . 

 I have used mostly BT5-2 on her dress  a little LY 3 and GB2 and 8 on her hair , lots of greens, CG3-1 DG4, LG2 &3  and IB 1 blended for the backgound. The sentiment is a LOTV tag.
