Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge - my favourite Mo make .

Hey my lovelies...
Just a quick post to wish you a happy festive season, and to share of my favourite makes of the year whilst I have been a DT member over at Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge.

This image has got to be one of my favourites for lots of reasons..... not just because I love Kitty Cats, but because it was drawn in memory of our lovely DT sistah  Amanda. Its this time of year that we miss our loved ones more than ever, and its extra special to do something in their memory ...
I did have a tough time choosing from all those fabulous images Mo creates, you should check out what the rest of the DT girls have chosen .....
So , just to wish you a cheery and bright Christmas ,and a happy & healthy new year. Thank you sooo much for being a follower of my blog ,and for all you kind and supportive comments..

My Mum's Craft Shop Inspiration

Helllooooo my lovelies.... I am running behind as usual today, and I expect to do so for the rest of this month!! hahaha!
But, albeit late, I did manage  a make for my Inspiration over at MMCS.....

sorry about the rubbish light , but its a pretty grey ol' day here on the East coast!!
 So, my card.....
The card base is cut from the Dienamics Blueprints 20 set, and the next layer is cut from the next sized die. I cut a circle out of the centre using a trusty  circle die, and added a layer of snowy acetate to the aperture.
I stamped out one of the bears and the mittens using the "Cool Days" stamp set, and coloured them up with my Spectrums. I fussy cut them out raedy to 3d to the top layer of the card when I've finished the construction.
I added a layer of foam tape to the back of the aperture over the acetate, and filled it with sequins and glitter. then I added a layer of blue snowy cardstock (thats been in my stash forever!) to close the layer. This was attached to the front of the card, adding the final images, and sentiment, and finally gems...  (The fact the contents of the shaker managed to find their way out did not impress me!!!!)
so ,there you have it ... y first shaker card in!!!

Bella & Bronte's Clubhouse tutorial

Hello my lovelies.... I have a treat for you all today....
I have rustled up a tutorial to share over at the Bella & Bronte clubhouse on FB, and wanted to give to give you an in depth guide to the step by step...
I took a brave leap really, as I have printed on watercolour cardstock, and coloured the image up with my Spectrum Noir pens & pencils.... that in itself is a new thing for me. But then, I wanted to use my new fabby SN Aquatints ( hence the reason I printed on the watercolour CS) and I was a little nervous how the printed ink would fair if the CS got wet..???
this is how I went about it....
First I coloured up this  cute pair,"Snow Pals"  starting on the face....

I used FS4,5,6 pencils:006,009,029,091

Then I started on the clothes.....
I used IG,3,4,blender for the fur, BT4& 5 for the coat, using pencils 62,63,38,69,70,and on the scarf  CT3,GB3,DG3,CG4,3,and pencil 57.To finish the boots I used BG4,5,6 and 102 pencil.Next I used HB3&1,38,79,83 on the penguins scarf, DR7,5,& 23 on his hat. For the penguin I used IG 5&4, and GB3& 2 on his tummy.
whilst using the pencils I made sure that I worked right up over the printed lines, and finished by using my 001 pencil(white) all the way round , creating a wax "seal" to the printed ink...

Now for the fun bit, I literally swished a wash of night sky colours all the way round my image .These Aquatints are really so rich and easy to use.

Allowing the finished water coloured area to dry a little I splashed a few spots of clean water over the image, and dabbed it off with clean kitchen roll, this created a nice bit of interest the back ground

So finished I dotted a flurry of white snow flakes with my Posca pen, and added the essential scattering of glitter. I trimmed the image and mounted onto black CS, adding a Christmassy sentiment to compltete my project. I had a fabulous time, and I do hope you like it???

Its not a Xmas card with out a bit of sparkle....
I hope this will have given you a little inspiration to get those Xmas cards finished, good luck!
So, I'd just like to enter this in the following challenges...
1.CRAFT Challenge - Christmas
2.Crafty Catz- Christmas is coming
3.Dream Valley - Anything goes
4.Inky Impressions - Animals
5.Love to create - Christmas

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge - Sweet Amanda Tribute

Hello my lovelies... I am so honoured to be a part of today's post . As you will have read recently the craft world lost a wonderfully talented , kind sweet lady Amanda Reed
We still can't believe our sweet friend is gone. As a tribute to her, this fortnight's challenge is dedicated to the memory of Amanda Reed, a talented and kind soul who left us far too soon.
Because Amanda loved cats, and because we all loved Amanda, Mo has created this very special image called "Amanda"! You can find her in Mo's store beginning today!
Mo's digital Pencil
Mo will be selling the new "Amanda" image for just $1.00....with all proceeds being donated in Amanda Reed's name to an animal shelter near where Amanda lived: Thinkingoutsidethecage

We hope you'll help us honor Amanda's memory...pick up this darling a good cause...and join us for this fortnight's very special challenge!

So, the papers are Bazzill "Vintage lace" and I have coloured "Amanda" up with my Spectrums ...
B/ground:GG3-1 blender

Crafting at the weekend - Anything goes

Hey guys !!! I am baaaccckkk!
Yep, back from my jaunt to Scotland, late Saturday, and after I have done all my catching up , I need to get my crafting done !!!
Firstly tho' as it was hubby's birthday last week , I wanted to share this ....

This is "Big fella jogging" .... I think he is a little larger than my hubs, and he did have a dog running alongside him, but I cleverly cut him off, as we only have our moggy....  the papers are Bazzill I believe, which are gorgeous Autumnal colours too!
I coloured him with my Spectrums;
Skin: Fs4,5,6,8,TN2,3,

I made the rosette by scoring closely two strips of papers on my score board, then concertina-ing them and gluing the ends together to make a circle. With my trusty 3d glue I added a sentiment to the top after firstly gluing the folder paper to a circular base. Easy when you know how... I finished with two strips of scrap paper for the ribbon.
So, all I need to to do is enter this in..
1.Crafting at the weekend - Anything goes
2.613 Avenue Create - Anything goes
3.Robyn's Fetish -Autumn Colours
4.Dragons Lair - Anything goes
5.Wags N Whiskers -- Fall colours
6.Crafting with the dragonflies - Anything goes

Thanks for popping by, I do hope you will join me again soon
 hugs xxx
